Many people are discovering the benefits of gifting property. Depending on the nature of your gift, here are some of the benefits a real estate gift can provide: you can avoid capital gains, reduce your income taxes, or reduce your estate taxes. To learn more about a gift of real estate, contact SoFo for a copy of The Benefits of Donating Real Estate Kit.
You can help SoFo by underwriting specific projects, programs, events and activities. Some of these include the purchase of teaching materials such as accurate 3-dimensional models of animals and plants to show internal structures, or providing funds for the taxidermy of birds and mammals. To learn more about specific projects please contact Jim Ash, SoFo's Executive Director at (631) 537-9735.
